These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Untangle mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Untangle is an AI-powered self-help and emotional support tool. The App uses artificial intelligence to provide conversational support, maintain a memory of your personal context, and offer reflections on your thoughts and feelings.
The App is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care. It is not a licensed therapy service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you should use the App with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
Free Plan. The free plan provides 10 messages per day with full memory functionality. New users receive a one-time bonus of 10 additional messages upon completing onboarding.
Premium Plan. The Premium subscription costs $19.99/month (or equivalent in your local currency) and provides 35 messages per day.
Boost Packs. Boost packs provide 80 additional messages and can be purchased as a one-time in-app purchase.
Auto-renewal. Premium subscriptions automatically renew each month. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

The AI generates responses based on patterns in its training data and your conversation history. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You should not rely on the App as your sole source of emotional support or mental health guidance.
We are not responsible for any actions you take based on AI-generated responses. Always consult a qualified professional for medical, psychological, or legal advice.
The App maintains a memory of your conversations to provide personalized support. This memory includes general facts about you, important events, and a recent activity log. You can view your memory profile within the App. You can delete all your data at any time from Settings.
The App includes automated crisis detection. If the AI detects signs of suicidal ideation, self-harm, or intent to harm others, it will display emergency hotline information. This feature is provided as a safety measure and is not a substitute for professional crisis intervention.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PSYCHOLOGIST AI AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with modified Terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting all data in Settings.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
